A friend of mine went to UConn for theater and puppetry; I think she liked it ok, but I don't know much more.
My roommate got his degree in theater tech / lighting from Syracuse. Great VPA (visual performing arts program) as well .
There are plenty of great colleges in the Northeast to get undergraduate training in Tech Theater and for Acting. The best school for you is the one you choose and feel comfortable at, and in the end it is what you make of it. Many of the reputable acting programs focus on the stage, and others have film and television programs.
Community colleges may be a better deal, and then there are reputable colleges and universities with well established programs. You may be able to start at a community college and transfer to a four year school. Here is a list of some of the best acting universities in the Northeast.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
