Once in a while someone still comes in with a problem that needs to be solved.

I'd advise looking somewhere that would be close to a chair, but perpetually out of the sun.

Once in a while a good question comes around. I used to learn or re-learn enough to feel good about the time invested. Yes, and see some familar icons.

I also like meeting new people. Sukay, for example, is a very welcome addition to Askville. I hear ya on the problems, but I like to focus on the positive.

I use to be on here three times a days answering peoples questions before they changed the format. Now day's I come on here once a week and answer the questions. I find that in a week I have missed nothing.

This site now sucks, and once a week is enough. Plus the questions have got very bad, it seems like we are now customer service for Amazon.

Askville is STILL a good way to wind down, to take a break from work or whatever. It can be intellectually stimulating, if you find the right questions, it can be amusing (again, if you find the right questions! ) and it can be a good place to connect with friends.

If you need advice on almost any subject, I'd still recommend Askville over other sites, but I might be just partial, being so familiar with the site.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
