If I don't know it off the top of my head, I goto wikipedia .
Wikipedia, then Google If it's a "named entity" (a person, place, event, movie, etc. ), I go straight to the Wikipedia entry, and work from there to get good references and find an answer. Of course, Wikipedia isn't always that specific. I should remember to add answers to Wikipedia when I find them.
When Wikipedia fails, I usually have to try several Google queries, and look at the first few sites. I may even have to follow links from the first hits, before I find a site that actually contains the answer. This, of course, assumes I don't already know the answer.

Sometimes I wonder if it would be best if no one knew who was answering the questions or even who was asking them, that.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
