To guarantee this you would probably need to behave in an extreme way, for example by urinating in front of the interviewer The above would certainly guarantee you a refusal, but more subtly, one thing I look for is finding out whether people really know their stuff (and more importantly, are not afraid to say that they don't know). I'd rather someone say "I don't know" (after a few probing questions from them, maybe) to a question, than listen to them ramble or five minutes and eventually come to the conclusion of "I don't know", or even worse expect me to think that they've answered the question really well.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
