2 ideas and many options Well, I find the gift cards such a great idea, because I do believe that Askville came as an entertainment tool but it became a very cool way for communication and ideas-changing virtual space. I myself found and answered many nice, smart or interesting questions and I had my own questions, mostly very well answered. That means there are really good people, with nice ideas and good hearts, ready to give their experiences shared or personal suggestions.

And as strangers at all, some opinions are really appreciated, because they are impartial and neutral. But unfortunately, the opposite happens too. You might know that many questions are posted just to mess up or gain the golds.

I found ones. I'm sure you did too. That made me think that some people just don't know how to give value to this virtual community like to give and to share, they are just TAKERS.

What I'd like to suggest is: -keep the gift cards - better if give more reward options, to estimulate the good users of Askville; BUT, at meantime: -create some kind of tools for the askvillers that can "point out" some strange, bad, or awful questions, so these questions, after a certain "limit" of score, can not be answered anymore - it's like BLOCKED . And for those who made the job of pointing, don't give golds, but some "thank you" medals. Just give some limitations to them.

The pointed -out questions would be filtered by the management of Askville before being BLOCKED. That will be all, good to keep ASKVILLE clean and clear, and it will be so great to BE around... Sources: my opinion box.

An improved voting system the idea of 5 answers to a question, and then up to 5 votes by those who answered the question sounds very risky and prone to bias. I would like to see the voting opened up to a few more people who are randomly asked (similar to appeals voting) to vote on a question. I also like how yahoo answers did their voting system, and wouldn't mind seeing a combination of both yahoo answers, and amazon askville voting systems.. best of both worlds..

Better question tracking I like the web site overall but it seems like a hassle to browse for questions to answer. A few search agents would be a nice touch. I get an email like " someone is asking about..." and a link to the question, that would be cool .

Some new features.. I would like to see who is online and when the people signed up last. I think it would be a good idea if one could hide his location and/or gender. This is not included in the privacy setting.

I would really love them to combine some of topics. There is no need for having both usa, and united states as 2 different topics. There is also a lot of mis-spelling in topics, topics "Aksville" and "Mathamatics" are 2 examples!

I think Askville could make use of its senior members for such category maintenance! I would like Askville to add a feature so that we can invite our friends. Also it would be nice if one could give quest golds as a gift to his friends.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
