What's the best way to get rid of fleas in your house?

My friend moved into a house and there are fleas in it. We bombed it and it took care of a lot of them... but there are still a few left. Any suggestions?

Kill the problem where it starts, the larvae! To better rid the fleas from anywhere, you must take into account the "circle of life" for a flea. It goes: -Adult Flea produces larvae, lives for ~2 days without a host- 2-3 Months with a host... producing eggs/larvae up to 50 eggs per day and around 500 in it's life span.Be mindful that the eggs will fall off of the host onto where they spend most of their time.

-Egg hatches: Larvae will burrow deep into carpet/clothes/bed fibers... Larvae are cannibals, as they will eat some of the eggs and flea droppings to survive. They are hard to kill due to them being in an insectacide-resistant cacoon for 2-4 weeks during the egg stage. -Flea Grows or dies... if there's a host, they grow.

-Adult Flea produces larvae, and the cycle continues. Mix four parts of Borax with one part of salt, and sprinkle over your carpet. The mixture gets down amongst the fibers, and dehydrates the fleas and eggs, and prevents them re-hatching.

This works great, and it is much more effective and cheaper than "flea bombs" because since insectacide can't kill them, drying them out will. Trouble is you can kill the adult fleas but there can be baby fleas that won't hatch until later. Then you are going to start all over again with thousands of fleas. A few years ago we had flea trouble.

You have to keep repeating the process as new eggs hatch and control the source. If you've got cats or dogs running in and out, you have to treat them or you're waging a losing battle.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
