What's the difference now between American and Canadian healthcare?

The system America had till the reforms (and until the changes work, still has) serve corporate interests. The system in Canada serves the people. Why does no other developed nation have the US model of healthcare?

Because in the US model, insurance companies use death panels to deny care to those they are meant to cover. And then they raise costs 1. Not only does the USA spend more on healthcare than any other nation 2, it finds itself bottom of the table when it comes to preventable deaths due to treatable conditions when it comes to developed nations 3.

The sad thing is that rather than focus on these things, the right spreads lies and half truths about the reforms and how healthcare works abroad 4. Even sadder is the fact that the reforms are so simple 5. But, if you think that my points are wrong, e-mail me with proof.

Once you get into this there is one thing you will find that is rarely discussed. That is lifestyle choices. Canadians have far fewer people trying to kill each other in gang wars (perhaps it's too cold, or perhaps it's cultural).

Canadians have far fewer people who are morbidly obese from gobbling fast food all their lives. Canadians do not demand unlimited medical care like Americans, who are not connected to the true costs of the care because our employers pay for it. On the other hand Canadians might have more liver problems from over-drinking.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
