Strawberry-Rhubarb My actual favorite is pumpkin, but I use the recipe from the back of the Libby’s pumpkin can so it’s not exactly earth shattering. After that, I like strawberry-rhubarb pie. Strongly base my recipe on the binder Betty Crocker book (specifically my mother’s 1960s edition).
It offers information on making an 8" or 9" pie. My pie dish is somewhere between the two, so I follow the 9" instructions (more or less) and it works out well. You need: 2 cups of chopped rhubarb 2 cups of chopped strawberries 1 cup - 1.5 cups sugar (how tart do you want your pie?
I sometimes adjust it based on the strawberries. I usually end up closer to 1.5 than 1) 1/3 cup flour If you have an orange around, zesting a bit of it in is wonderful (1 tsp or so) 2 - 3 tbsp butter 2 pie crusts Toss the rhubarb and strawberries with the sugar, flour, and orange zest. Set aside.
Line pie plate with bottom crust. Dump strawberry-rhubarb mix in. Cut the butter into bits and dot the pie with it.
I like to cut each tbsp into 9 cubes and sprinkle them over, but that’s kind of strange. Put the top crust on, sealing the edges. Cut vents into the top crust.
Bake in 400*F oven until pie is bubbling and crust is golden (40 - 50 minutes). If you forget the butter (not that you are likely to, but I do all the time), cut open the pie using the vents and then reseal it in the middle after dotting the butter in. Use extra dough to create a small rosette to place over the (probably slimy and pathetic) seal.
The rose looks fancy and keeps the crust together wonderfully. (Yes, almost all of my s-r pies end up this way. I don’t know why, but I’m incapable of remember the butter before I seal the pie up.

Basic Apple Pie My all time favorite is to make a homemade apple pie. It is very traditional and simple, but in my opinion there is no better pie than a home made apple. Ingredients: 4 pounds gala apples 1 1/2 cup sugar 1 generous teaspoon apple spice seasoning 4 tabs of butter homemade pie crusts (top and bottom) Sprinkling of Flour Peel and core all of the apples slice the apples into small pieces, no more than a inch long and quarter inch thick mix sugar with apple spice Lightly flour bottom of 9 inch pie pan put in homemade crust put two tabs of butter on bottom sprinkle about a quarter cup on sugar mix into bottom add about 1 third of the apples sprinkle about a quarter cup on sugar mix into bottom Repeat apples and sugar till done place two more tabs of butter on top Cover with top pie crust and create a seal.
Carve a few vent holes, or a nice design. Bake on 400 for about 35 minutes or till starts to boil out of the vent holes.. About halfway through you should use aluminum foil to protect the outside crusts. Sources: Personal Opinion Semorths's Recommendations Pyrex Glass Pie Dish 9.5-in.

French Silk Pie French Silk Pie is so good that it's just evil. It's almost pure fat, and what isn't fat is sugar. Serve tiny, tiny little slices, and resist going back for a second one for a while.
I usually put it in a graham-cracker crust, which is much easier to make than a regular pie crust. You can use a pre-baked pie crust instead. I think a chocolate crust is overkill; you can't taste the chocolate since there's so much in the filling, and the crust should provide a contrast.
Either way, the crust should be cool before you use it, since a hot crust would melt the filling. For the filling, melt 3 ounces of unsweetened chocolate and set aside to cool. While it's cooling, cream 1 stick of softened butter with 1/2 cup sugar until fluffy.
Add the chocolate and a teaspoon of vanilla and beat again. Add two eggs, beating until fluffy after each. Pour it into the pastry crust and chill for a few hours to let everything set.
You can serve it with whipped cream, if you like. This is my recipe, gathered from a bunch of others. It's much less tooth-achingly sweet than most.
If you like it sweeter, add another tablespoon or two of sugar. Calories per serving: don't ask.
Cheesecake/Pie I'm not sure this is exactly a pie recipe but it's made in a pie crust. It's like a cheesecake/pie. Take one whole block of cream cheese and then half of a block, bring to room temp, mix with a mixer until creamy.
Add a can of sweetened condensed milk and a 1/2 tsp of vanilla and 1/2 tsp of lemon flavoring. Pour into grahm cracker crust and refrigerate until firm , about 4-6 hours, or overnight. Then top with strawberries.
Sooo simple but oh so good. I also like a pie called a pudding pie and it's really versatile. The basic recipe is take a small box of instant pudding and make it according to directions.
Take half of it and spread it in the bottom of a chocolate pie crust. Then mix the leftover pudding with half a tub of cool whip. Spread that over the pudding and then spread the rest of the cool whip over that. It's yummy and you can change up the pudding flavors and pie crust and add things like nuts or fruit.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
