Not really. He did win the popular vote(meaning that more Americans voted for him.), but lost because he lost the electoral college vote. Supporting the legalization of Marijuana might've made him more popular among the general public, but it wouldn't have mattered with the electoral college involved.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
