I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do. I feel as if this tree knows everything I ever think of when I sit here. When I come back to it, I never have to remind it of anything; I begin just where I left off.” -Willa Cather I posted the quote because I was dumbstruck by this when I first read it: they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do.
And, although it's kind of sad, it's also true. We all are constrained by "the way we have to live", and I'm pretty sure I feel a lot more sorrow in my life than any tree ever does, and I'm a lot less majestic than many trees are. All in all, they do pretty good for themselves, don't they?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
