I think Askville would prefer to downplay the subject and would be pleased if we all would go away and let them concentrate on computers and the everpresent Kindle questions. If you feel the need to handle this subject you can try Yahoo/Answers. I like to share my interest in classical music and enjoy the questions in that.
I usually go to Philosophy section and then somewhat in the Religion & Spirituality category to see what's new. Just my suggestions.
Likely true. I will checkout Yahoo/Answers. Thanks!

Because it's a subcatgegory of Society. If you're following Society, you're following Religion & Spirituality. I assume the logic is that if you're not interested in anything about Society enough to follow that main topic, you're not interested in a small part of society like religion.
So it is. I never thought to look for it there. Thanks!

It's probably better that it's not listed under the main categories. In the recent past, the majority of those who posted in this category were very anti-Christian and it became a Christian basing site. It's gotten a lot better since Genelle has been monitoring.
So others have informed me, thank you. In the short time I have been an Askville member, a bias by a few against any form of spiritual belief has been apparent. This does not suprise me, as an either/or attitude about science/religion is prevalent throughout the country (and maybe the world).

All metaphysics is properly listed under "Society" since mankind is the father of metaphysics.
Good idea, however it is not a subcatagory of any of the catagories listed and a search does not find metaphysics. Thanks anyway. Thanks!

Metaphysics is a term for false physics or false knowledge. All human made-up so called knowledge is metaphysics, religion, philosophy, folk lore, social custome believe to be based upon reality and so on. The 11th century (I believe it was the 11th) English had a very strong custom counting Mary to e a virgin.
This folklore made it into the KJV, a version considered by many believers to be authoritative. Of course, folk lore influences the writings of the time period in which it is dominant. This is what I meant.
Sorry for the confusion.
Your definition for metaphysics may be false physics or knowledge, however the term most generally has the accepted meaning of "The branch of philosophy that examines the nature of reality, including the relationship between mind and matter, substance and attribute, fact and value (The American Heritage Dictionary). " Wikipedia says, "Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy concerned with explaining the fundamental nature of being and the world. " "Ontology (from the Greek 'of that which is' and science, study, theory) is the philosophical study of the nature of being, existence or reality as such, as well as the basic categories of being and their relations."
Looking back at earlier questions to Askville, I found Comments on: Was Tesla ahead of Einstein in understanding Relativity? Others seemed to be aware of it (the UFO. Com video on Tesla was very interesting, though long).
It mentioned Swami Vivekananda meeting Nikola Tesla in the winter of 1895-96. I had heard of Tesla, of course, but the Swami was new to me so I looked up his name on Wikipedia. While I had a difficult time reading the century old style, it seemed to be addressing a relatively new cosmological concept where in the physical universe with its three spatial dimensions and time might be nothing more than a holographic projection.
I will have to try and read it and M-theory again. As to the Virgin Mary, after having virtually stripped most women from the compilation of writings about Jesus of Nazareth, the early Catholic Church all but deified her. Then as now, "Christians of the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, Oriental Orthodox Church, and the Anglican Communion believe that Mary, as mother of Jesus, is the Mother of God and literally Birth giver of God.
Mary has been an object of veneration in Christianity since the Apostolic Age (a period roughly dating from C.E. 30 until C.E.100)" - Wikipedia again. Bill1939 7 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
