Your 'Change category' does not work. You put my 'computer' question into 'Religion & Spirituality?

You can change the category till someone answers the question. It works very well, actually! .

I see why your other question went into "Religion and Spirituality"-at the end of your question you added "Bless You"--the computer picked that up and decided blessings are religious. It scans the question for the words that tell it what category to put a question in. See, it's the computer that picks the categories, not real humans.

Humans program the choices for the categories initially, I imagine, but then it's up to the computer with new words that they didn't tell it where they belonged. It makes some mistakes, of course! But you can change the category, as I mentioned, until someone answers the question.

Pretty easy! But--it really doesn't matter what category a question is in, anyway, at this time. It doesn't mean a thing!

Don't worry about it, I think at least 90% of us don't even bother looking at what category a question is in, we just got used to the computer sticking them in random places.

I don't have a change category question. And I didn't your question anywhere. You are not talking to the Askville powers that be here.

You are only talking to us lowly members. We lowly members know very well that the category system on Askville is a joke, and has never once worked well. Unfortunately, there's absolute bupkis we can do about it, and the Askville Powers that Be have decided to sit on their collective hindquarters and do nothing about it either.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
