I don't know if you are "supposed" to, but I know for a fact that you can. For the last 4 years My husband and I have had our federal return and his adult daughter's federal return deposited into our checking account. We have never had any issues and have done it with two different banks (one bank and one credit union).
You are not supposed to have your refund deposited into an account that is not in your name. Call the bank and find out the minimum amount necessary to open a savings account. If it is low, go open one.
If you use your brother's account and get away with it. He will not be able to deposit his own refund to it. Once an account is used once in a tax season, IRS will not permit more DD's to it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
