I admit that I'm not "happy" about it, but stopping them from building it makes the US no different then Saudi Arabia. Is that what we want to be? Besides, the Constitution gives all religions the right to build their "churches" and all people the right to practice whatever religion they want to.
How can the government protect the rights of everyone if even one group is discriminated against? And it's NOT "a mosque at Ground Zero". It's a 13-story community/cultural center (being built 2 blocks away) that include a mosque prayer room, performing arts center, gym, swimming pool, secular community daycare, and other public spaces that are open to everyone.
Edit: Now you're just being stupid. Strip mining is destructive and that's why it's outlawed in most places. But if the Native Americans new full well what the land was being used for and they sold their own land anyway, then I guess the new owners can do pretty much what the law allows them to do with it.
But I realize now that you don't care about any real answers. You're only looking for people that share the same bigoted anti-Constitution opinions that you have.
I need to take some Safety Precautions.... Plus, still no one clarified the whole story, what is ground zero.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
