From what I can find the motherboard in your machine is a M2N78-LA which is an AM2+ board so should run it. I would have thought any perfomance gain is from the chip speed rather than the extra core as generally you need specific software to make best use of another core. You may find you need a bios upgrade for your machine to recognise the new processor.
Otherwise there are a lot of fairly cheap AM3 boards about, just make sure you get the right form factor, I think yours is a micro-atx (the smaller one). Is your Windows the 64 bit variant? If you need to use lots of ram you will need to run 64 bit not 32 bit.
I believe the 32 bit Windows will only access 4GB of ram. This might even be your main problem. BTW, even 460w is considered fairly low.
I'm running a Phenom chip, extra drives and an HD graphics card and I run a 700w "quality" PSU. Some PSUs are high rated but actually not very good. Good luck!
Ones that supports the socket the CPU uses, DUH! I If you're really lack that much common sense that you couldn't figure out that looking up the CPU would have been the smart thing to do then you have no business upgrading anything on a computer, especially you lack any kind of reading comprehension "HP site it says my PC model can be upgraded to a Phenom x4. But stupid me, it only meant the Phenom ONE series, not TWO.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
