Would you help me find the title of a book about personal and business success with a vague description?

The main character who has just lost his Management job and works at a hardware store and has a sick child and is at his wits end. THe author shows him different historical events in a dream he is having because he is knocked out due to crashing into a tree in a snow storm. The historical event and people include Harry Truman, Abraham Lincoln, a Civil War solder.

He show him more of the historical event than the history books tell us. Much like " the rest of the story" type story telling.At the end of each visit to the historical place there is an envelope or scroll? He also shows the main character the future of a stadium named after him because he is so successful.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
