There is lots of evidence. Biblical evidence: Luke 3 links Jesus to Noah and then back to Adam. You can't be descended from a fairy tale.
Hebrews 11 speaks of the characters of Genesis as though they are real. Jesus called attention to Adam and Noah. To give up on a literal Genesis is to give up on an inspired text about Jesus.
Jesus proved, among other things, that there will be a resurrection of the dead. The whole game becomes meaningless without eternal life. If we just die, and our memory dies in two generations, nothing matters.
Beyond that, God wrote with his finger (Ex. 20) that the earth was made in 6 days. If that didn't happen Judaism is lost.
So we have a dichotomy. Either you're right, and both religions are stupid, or something about your claim is false and the religions remain true, at least in part. If all we had to go on was starlight, I would give up my faith right now.
Lucky for me and my view, that's not all I have to go on. There are more genealogies than Jesus' in history. There are many genealogies to Noah.
See the book "After the Flood" by Bill Cooper. There are also magnificent examples of Biblical archaeology, showing that those who wrote the Bible were there in history, not writing about it later on. Paganism, the religion of early man, is easy to explain away.
It was done quite successfully by early Christians. The fact is, pagan gods were mortal men, deified by their descendants. After that, their stories were embellished by the likes of Homer.
This is not speculation on my part. This is documented in history, and I have collected the quotes to prove it. If humans were human for 50,000-200,000 years, we would expect to see ruins that old.
If not 30,000 year old ruins, at least a progression to things like the pyramids. The oldest we have are something like 4,000, and those were amazing, even by modern standards. Civilization seemed to spring up all over the world at exactly the same time.
It wasn't a 50,000 year progression, let alone a 200,000 year old one. There are common stories among all people groups all over the world. It wasn't only the flood story that they carried, but Adam and Eve and the serpent, even the story of Zeus, and many others.
I could go on and on with the historical evidence, but this is Yahoo! Answers. People want a fast answer, and I wonder if even you have made it this far into my comments.
I'll also just mention the Top Ten Proofs of AiG and the RATE project of ICR. That is reading enough for anyone who is truly interested. Even the stuff I mentioned above would not have been enough to convert me to Creationism, though.
It's compelling, but not enough. What put me over the top was the modern day miracles. My brother in law prayed for a guy with a broken leg, and it was healed.
The guy cut off the cast that night. My wife got prayer for her badly sprained ankle, and it was healed instantly. Still not close enough to first hand?
Well, I have my own personal experiences with the healing power and presence of God, but what's the point in telling you about them? Would you believe me? I'll point you to two other things.
One is the account of Don Piper. Search Youtube, he'll be on the top. Now, you can continue in your doubt - to deny what is obviously true, find evidence to support your ridiculous notions, or you can admit that science doesn't explain everything.
Maybe there is something about the universe you don't know. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. The second bit of advice is that you ask God for your own miracle.
Keep asking. Stop sinning, because God sees your heart, and He will continue to hide his secrets from his enemies. I don't envy you your position, enemy of God.
God is forgiving. Repent, therefore, and be baptized. Source(s).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
