About that Mosque/community center near Ground Zero?

I lost family, and friends that day. The images still haunt me. What I will say is this; there were Muslims who died that day as well as Jews, Christians, Atheists, Pagans, etc. My problem is not with a Mosque.

My problem is who wants it there? Who is behind it? Who is funding it and Why?

It makes no sense to me as any Muslim that I know does not want to be associated with the radical extremists who committed murder 9/11. Those are my concerns. I do no hate Muslims.

They are getting a bad reputation from a few radical extremists. Personally I do not feel comfortable with the idea unless it can be proven that the intent is not to provoke, or scorn the death's of our dearly beloved. We haven't even rebuilt yet, I am not even sure I like building on Hallowed grounds.

Bodies were never found, so yes, it is a gravesite. I am having a tough time understanding this whole idea. Trust me when I say, I am having a hard time trying to be fair, but not being taken for a fool either.

I only want to know who wants it there.. Good Luck.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
