Alienware m14x vs alienware m17x, which one is better?

RAM is the last thing you should consider. 4gb is enough to run the most demanding game. Take Battlefield 3 for example... people were complaing that when playing BF3 their total system consumption was a little bit over 3gb.

Since you can pick up an 8gb kit of DDR3 SO-Dimm ram for $30-50. You should not consider getting a prebuilt system with more than 4gb. The Alienware m17x with the 6870m and 1600x900 display is a good setup.

If you decide to bump up the resolution to 1920x1080 then you really should upgrade the graphics card to the 6970m or GTX 570m. The m14x with a 1366x768 display and the 1.5gb GT 555m is a pretty good setup. When you step up to a 1600x900, the GT 555m will be a little bit overwhelmed.

Getiing the 3gb GT 555m won't do anything to help you since adding more RAM doesn't increase performance. Extra V-Ram only comes into play at high screen resolutions and when you turn the detail settings up. However, 1.5gb of V-Ram is enough to turn the details to max 1080p display.

All Alienware laptops are made by a company called Clevo. Clevo is by far the best manufacturer of laptops. Their laptops are better made than a Macbook Pro.

Don't get alienware, I was about to but the company couldnt care less about you. How I know this? Because they rip you off.

If you want a better deal that will play games far better for value of money then try the ASUS gaming laptop series. Look here: http://uk.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powe...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
