I've tried "Nature's Cure" spray. Nothing works! Help!

I have 6 cats and one of them is 14..& she went thru a nasty 6 months of pooping & peeing on my brand new reliciner, the sofa bed & the love seat. A person on asville SAVED my life...........I had tried every method there is...........everything, then I went on line and bought ZERO ODOR...moleular odor elimator OMG it actually worked. The smell on my vhair was 6 months old & I had tried 11 other things..so it took about 4 times for this to work...but my chair is ODOR free.

However my 14 year old cat...(shes on PROZAC NOW) so the peeing has quit............right before we put her on kitty prozac she peed on my moms bed...........onto the swedish foam....so we blotted the urine, dried it and sprayed with ZERO ODOR..when the urine is fresh, it removes it immedately. Mouthwash. Seriously. This was recommended by our vet, who has cats and had similar problems, and was very effective.

He recommended Scope, but we liked Listerine better (matched the carpet). It will kill the germs and hit it with a strong scent and remove the smell of cat pee. Just a word of warning, don't buy blue mouthwash for your white carpet -- try to get a good color match (you might want to test it in a small area first -- under the sofa?), to check for stains.

Once you use it, be sure you use enough to saturate through to the pad -- the urine got that far, so the cure must get that far too. If it persists -- if it is your cat, be sure and have the vet check them to see if there's a medical cause. If you've just inherited a house with pet-stained carpet (like we did), sometimes all you can do, if all else fails, is to tear up the carpet.

But, hopefully, mouthwash will work -- it did for us. I know Tom's of Maine makes a colorless mouthwash, but it is also alcohol-free, so it may not work. Still, in a pinch, might be worth a try, or try witchhazel -- let us know how it goes.

Time helps I’m guessing this is an un-neutered male cat. Not only do they ignore their housetraining more often, the hormones make them MUCH smellier. Get him fixed, and that will help.

Also try to figure out if there is some reason he doesn’t like the box. I’ve had cats who misbehaved if the box had been used more than a couple of times. I find the silica gel litter to be worth the extra money to control the smell and make it seem cleaner longer to the cats themselves.

Thre are quite a few products out there ( urineout.com/ & northcoastpets.com/odor_control.htm#ENZYME & petstainremoval.com/pet_stains_removal.html etcetera). The main thing is to use lots of water, blot well and repeat. Some people suggest seltzer or soda water, some suggest white vinegar.

I am sorry to tell you this. But NOTHING will get it out. I have had cats for 20 years and I have tried many tried and true products.

Nothing works. Last incident last year was when I smelled the most horrible smells coming from my teenage sons room. For weeks I was blaming him and telling him he and his friends needed to take showers.

On a lark, I lifted up one corner of the carpet in his room and saw a spot that I knew looked really familiar. Pretty soon, I upended the entire carpet and found spots all over the place. Naked to the unseeing eye, but the smell is there.

We tore out all the carpet in his room and had to replace it with hardwood floor. It is important to note that the urine may soak into the carpet padding too, thus the need to get rid of the whole kit and kaboodle. I did not get rid of my cats, just the carpet.

Since then they haven't given me any problems, except with men's clothing left on the floor. My belief is they did this because of upsets with a litter box situation (which I corrected) and stress from a home remodel that was going on at the time. Most products will diminish the smell, but never get rid of it.

I tried several different odor removal solutions and the only one that worked for cat urine was Nature's Miracle Urine Destroyer Just for Cats Stain & Residue Eliminator. The regular Nature's Miracle did not work for cat urine. It worked on leather, wood, carpet, fabric and a suitcase.

I blotted the excess urine with paper towels, then thoroughly soaked the area (in the case of the suitcase I sprayed the solution). It took several days for the solution to dry. Note: I am sensitive to the smells and this solution has such a strong smell I could taste it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
