Yes, I am a Cosmetology Instructor and have received these treatments as well as performing these treatments on numerous clients. If a persons wet hair dries quickly by the air the person needs a moisture treatment, if a persons wet hair takes a long time to dry by the air the person needs a protein treatment, if your hair dries by air some where inbetween you need both a protein/moisture treatment. The treatment is replenishing whatever is missing in your hairshaft(moisture/protein) so the length of time the results will last depends on the condition of your hair.

You may need multiple treatments in the beginning and then maybe need only one treatment a month. These treatments do not make your hair fuller but can make your hair appear smoother.

Porous, dense but fine hair. Medium everything else. Love Shea Smoothie, everything else is in trial mode.

HELLO, HAIR TWIN! Most porous curlies do like protein. My hair never met a protein it didn't like, but some find their hair has protein types that it doesn't respond well to.

Whatever protein you use, if you are doing a PT you should pretty much always follow up with a moisture DT. Have you tried the gelatin PT? My hair adores it!

That's why I added so much gelatin to my latest batch of FSG! Houseofcurls likes this.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
