Help me remember/find an early reading program used in LAUSD about 30 years ago. A book for each letter of the alphabet First in series was letter O - a booklet with the letter on the front had a tactile "feel" to it, so kids learned it first by seeing/touching. Work pages taught sounds & how to write it.

And after 2 or 3 letters, words were taught, such as cot. The series didn't go A-Z, and did have some books for the "th" or "sh" sounds. Some words were memorized like "the" but children learned to spell and read phonetically.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
