You'll need to first find the source of the odor, then you'll be able to treat it. Best way to eliminate the smell is to run an ozone machine (they come in commercial and non-commercial units)-but your best bet would be to use a smaller ozone generator such as a RainbowAir activator 250 (ozoneexperts.com/). The generators destroy odor on contact using high levels ozone (03) by breaking down the odor molecule, not covering it up.

We work with top hotel chains in our industry and this is what they use to eliminate odors from hotel rooms. As a sidenote- you NEVER want to be in the same room though when you shock treat a space, because Ozone isn't healthy to breath in! The units have timers on them so they shut off automatically, then you'll want to stay clear of the room for an hour or two until ozone converts back to oxygen.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
