How to Stay calm when angry?

Here are few tips how to manage your anger: Count to 10: This is an age old method and yes it does work to an extent. This gives you little bit of time to rethink about the situation and not react to it immediately. Drink water: Drinking water time and again helps you regulate your body control inner feelings lot better than drinking less water so if you are used to getting angry on very small things then you should make a habit of drinking water a lot.

Divert Attention: When ever you feel that you are angry divert your attention away from the situation for few minutes. This would help you sooth your nerves and make you calm. Think of positives of your life.

Keep a picture of your wife/husband or Girl friend / boy friend. If you have children then keep a family picture, which you can see and smile when angry. Also think about last holidays to hills or beach which made you real happy.

This can change your mood temporarily and make you think better on situation at hand. Smiley Ball: You should keep a soft smiley ball , which you can get anywhere . It is cheap and costs about Rs 20/- (40 cents ) in India.

When ever you are angry please use this ball and press it hard between your fingers and thumb. This can make negative energy flow away from your body. Forgive: Forgiveness is a biggest tool to keep cool.It not only makes you big hearted in eyes of everyone (thus respected and appreciated) but also you can make other realize how wrong they did to you and how great a person you are.

We usually forgive our self for the biggest crime we do yet we always hold on to wrongs done on us by others. This only helps in destroying our own health and pollutes our brains.So if you forgive ( though I agree it is not easy) then this can bring peace in your life and with peace comes happiness. Meditation: Now those who meditate or do yoga seem to loose temper lot less than those who don’t.

So when ever you feel like you are about to loose your control or temper then meditate. Close your eyes and tell yourself you won’t let this situation control you by making you angry. Repeat this about 15 to 20 times and see the difference.

Remember Anger is an emotion which usually signifies that you have been defeated and things are out of your control so basically a negative energy.Do not let your anger rule your thought process and thus make you loose respect in eyes of your family or friends or in your office. The cases of road rage are getting higher day by day, and people are now killing others under road rage fits. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
