Not ONE human owns salvation-----you can hope.
Of course - there are no guarantees, the Baptists' "Eternal Security" doctrine notwithstanding - If you want to know what authentic historic Christianity teaches, I suggest reading the "Magisterium" of the roman Catholic Church or the similar document from the Greek/Russian Orthodox churches - remember these existed from day one and there were no others until around 1525 when the Lutherans showed up - all the rest are Johnny come Latelys with some very peculiar notions based on an obtuse treatment of the Bible that amounts to idolatry. Please note, St. Paul himself worried that he himself might be lost while saving others - The point is to not live with a guarantee, but with absolute faith in His unconditional Love - I well remember growing up in the South in the 40's and hearing all kinds of debates about subjects like this from the very people who treated their black neighbours like dirt, wouldn't allow them into soda fountains, barber shops etc - I am quite sure that the afterlife came as quite a shock to many who were "sure" of their salvation. Remember this, the Church is the body of Christ, and Peter is the "rock" upon which that church was founded - the Church existed before the New Testament, and, indeed, decided what should be in it and what should not long before many of these silly little sects with their oddball doctrine came along - get yourself back on track, come home to Rome.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
