Anyway, enough grousing: I asked my friend to hook mine up that way (so I didn't have to buy or pay for a DVR) and he got it hooked up that way. He said it mattered how you routed the wiring from the cabel box, to the DVD and TV. At least with the setup I have, it's possible.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
