Is there a way to watch television shows online?

Is there a way to watch television shows online I am searching for a way to watch the 2011 CMT Awards show online for free. There are several programs on other channels that I would also like to watch but I just cannot afford cable or satellite so online is my only way. The awards show is on June 8, 2011.

Please help me if possible. I have tried Hulu and Hulu Plus but they won't have the awards show for tomorrow night. Someone please help.

Lot of stations now show show on their websites. I can't stay up late enough to watch The Killing on Sunday nights so I watch it on AMC's site later in the week. You can also watch some shows on Hulu.Com .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
