It is comedy/religion...newly published. I heard about this book on a talk show, and I can't remember the author or title (helpful....I know). It was written by a man who lived according to the Old Testament rules for a full year - wore the robes, grew his beard, the whole nine yards.
It is a comedic book - he tells stories about the funny things that happen to him, his experiences, etc. Does anyone know the author or title of this book? I wish I would have paid more attention.... The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible by A. J. Jacobs I heard this guy on NPR and he was really funny.
What was amazing was that he isn;t serious about it-- it's a big joke-- but he did it very religiously, so to speak. I've seen the book in my bookstore (Paperback Booksmith, Brookline, Massachusetts) and it looks funny and interesting. The Year of Living Biblically The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible, by A.J. Jacobs. It came out in October 2007. Jacobs was agnostic, and had some very funny moments during this experience.
I don't think he's overly pro or anti religion per se; his experiences just are. It's also a book to make you think about life and religion (whatever religion you are). The writing is very light and easy to read. It's not a perfect book in terms of writing, meeting Old/New Testament deadlines, or even summing up the meaning of life, but it's something that is enjoyable and that made a lot of people think a bit.

Jacobs and it's a recent release. I haven't read it but I have read reviews of it, which seem to be mixed, although I noticed it received 4 stars on Amazon.com. If you read it, I'd like to know what you think of it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
