Appliances are black, white floor tiles. Opens to gold living room. New counters after.
We are getting new countertops after we select a paint color for the cabinets and the walls. We have a small kitchen. We have an open floor plan, so the kitchen opens to the dining room that goes directly into the living room, which is painted a goldish beige color.
The floor is white tile. Our refridgerator is a stainless steel color, but the stove, hood/microwave, and dishwasher are all black. Asked by AnMmom 21 months ago Similar questions: color paint cabinets Appliances black white floor tiles Opens gold living room counters Home > Home Improvement.

What I've noticed lately on the market and being sold for HUGE $$$, but costs hardly anything to do is.... aged, distressed or what they refer to as "antiqued" cabinets. I am currently in the process of finishing our kitchen (already remodeled the bathroom ) and I can totally see this 'look' in your kitchen to tie everything in together. Of course, it's a personal preference, but seems to be the rage at the moment and companies are charging a lot of money for their cabinets that have this look when all it basically requires (when done by the homeowner) is a LOT of time, patience and your pocketbook hardly takes a beating.
You wouldn't have to age EVERY cabinet, (for example just the upper cabinets) if you didn't want to. A nice black under coat, apply the crackle compound, then an overcoat of white would just weather it enough to bring a bit of the black underneath through the white. There are also different types of crackle/weathering products (I personally bought my products from Lowe's as it was least expensive and easy to use) and each product can feature different looks and different degrees of "aged" looks.
After I did my weathered look, it looked TOO finished for me (store bought), so I took a bit of sandpaper and gently rubbed the rails and stile edges down to bring the under color through, to give it a bit more depth. If you felt VERY innovative, you COULD do the opposite on the lower cabinets (white underneath, crackled through to a black overcoat! ) Oh, the possibilities are endless really!
After that is finished and cabinets are sealed, change the cabinet hardware to really set them off and tie all the colors in (maybe a rubbed pewter since you have a stainless steel fridge and it is probably the largest appliance in your kitchen). Just an idea! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
