What exactly is the dark matter in space that Stephen Hawking refers to?

If ye are asking for dark matter which is xactly the remains of a dead star which is so much compressed that its density is 100,000 kg per cubic cm. It has such a high pull of gravity that it absorb light passing by and thus it appears black. Simply we call it black hole!

No one knows "exactly" what dark matter is. Dark matter is matter whose existence has been deduced by its gravitational effect but which does not give off light so it cannot be seen. There is a lot of it in the universe, perhaps around 80% of all matter.

There is nothing overly exceptional about deducing the presence of matter without being able to see it, that is how some of the planets and many of their moons were discovered before telescopes became more powerful and before we were able to send probes into space. Perhaps you could think of it as a sort of space dust, although it is apparently more different to normal matter than that.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
