What is the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero?

I check the Coca-cola website, and they give descriptions of both, but do not explain the difference. We are trying to figure out why Zero tastes so much better than Diet. I think it's because... diet coke is made with nutrasweet which gives it that "diet" taste. Coke zero is made with splenda which is also a sweetner, but splenda is made from real sugar so it tastes more like regular coke. Both sweetners make them zero calories though.

I believe it is the sweetner used. Zero uses Splenda and Diet Coke uses aspartame.

It tastes better, but it is probably a trade secret! ( They will not disclose it! ) The taste is an all-right substitute - if you just want something fizzy going down your throat, which I sometimes do.

The aftertaste is terrible - Coke uses aspartame - so if you are expecting a viable alternative to the real thing, dream again. If I were you, I would only drink cola sparingly - and then I would make sure to burn off the excess sugar calories during exercise. I have no idea the difference between Diet and Zero - anyway, it is probably a trade secret, something that you will never find the answer to.

I think that they both taste crappy anyway, and it isn't worth the money, time and effort to drink either of them.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
