Why does my toilet flush twice?

It sounds like your tank feeds too much water through the overflow pipe. When you flush, the tank lets a lot of water through the main valve at the bottom, but it also sends a little water through the over flow overflow pipe that sticks straight up through the middle of the tank. Once the initial water drains, the bowl fills again with this water while the tank fills for the next flush.

There should be small tube leading from the float valve in the tank to the overflow pipe. If this feed sends too much water into the bowl, it will overfill and "flush" again. You can try adjusting the flow from the valve if it has one, or you can pinch the tube with a paperclip or binder clip.

You don't want to cut it off completely, just slow down the flow. You can disconnect it completely, but that might make cleaning the bowl more dificult. I hope this helps.

Likely means water is being wasted. Try placing a brick or other object in the toilet tank that will sit on the bottom out of the way, take up space and mean less water needed to fill the tank. If you experiment until find the right balance you will stop this annoying feature, and save yourself a bit on the water bill as well.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
