I hit a rut in life like this after my business tanked. Just wanted to lay in bed. I told my friend all this and he forcefully pulled me out of bed, made me change clothes and go running with him.
It made a huge difference in my mood. A little exercise goes a long way. Take baby steps but stick to it.
Don't try changing everything at once. Just commit to walking/ jogging 15 minutes every other day. Don't think.
Just do it. Then make it like a daily thing. Maybe do like 20 pushups instead of jogging one day ya know.
Take your next day off and clean your room. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just throw on some good music to put you in the zone and commit to cleaning for an hour.
A clean room makes a huge difference in mental state. It sucks but once it done it's like a huge weight has been lifted. After you do those things cut back on substances.
Just a little less each week. And every couple of weeks just add something new. Put in job apps whatever you think will make life a little better.
You don't have to fix it all at once. Just take everything you mentioned here. Put it on a list and check it off one at a time.
You're still young. Plenty of life ahead of you to enjoy. Fix one little thing at a time and after a while things will be completely different.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
