Have you ever gone on an unplanned road trip? Where did you go and how long was the trip?

A couple of times I have gone to drive home from work at 3 in the morning and ended up on mums doorstep 360klms away, stayed until it was time to go home on the monday afternoon (not too bad since its a 3-4hr drive to work when I do that) LOL one other time I went to go to the supermarket and ended up driving to my firends on the west coast.. text my mate at home an asked him to go feed my cat that lives indoors and stayed 3 days.

Good on you! More should do it! We are on one big road trip with no definate plans except for sitting out the wet here by the lake in kununurra , go out on our boat now & then& next year will go to QLD - who knows after that!

Wheeling, WV for 4 days. A friend of mine 'kidnapped' me and I had no clue where we were going. I don't think my friend did either. It was the craziest-most-fun-mini-vacation, ever.

We ended up (accidentally) at a Hari-Krishna temple and spent the day there. We met Clay Walker (country singer) by accident also, and he gave us tickets to his concert. I had no clue who he was but enjoyed the show.

It was a great time, a time I'll never forget.

I remember a family trip when I was little, we were just going to a country race day about two hours drive from home. When we arrived it was rained out so we decided to keep going with nothing packed but the clothes on our back. So we stopped and bought toothbrushes and fresh underwear and travelled around to a few other country towns staying in caravan parks and eventually made it home a week later. It was the best family holiday we ever went on and we went on a few.

Thanks Mum and Dad for having a great sense of adventure.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
