The mere act of breathing deeply from your abdomen may release tensions that you’ve been holding in your body, some of which you may not even be aware. This indirect clearing of negative emotions, traumas, and limiting beliefs can manifest in a number of ways: a wash of emotions that causes you to feel angry, sad, fearful, or anxious for no apparent reason; a sharp pain or spasm in some part of the body; or a trembling or shaking in some part of the body, to name just a few. These feelings can be unsettling, but they’re normal.
In fact, they are normal and good. They mean that you are releasing negative emotions and stresses that you’ve been holding onto. If you encounter these feelings, simply relax, and breathe through them.
