How to make tight curls loose?

You can you use your straightener to use as a curler but less curly. Just use the straightener like a curler and that will make the curls looser If you are going to put on gel, put it on before you curl it.

Right, in your case what you could do to get loose and luxurious curls is buying a curling iron that says that minimizes frizz rather than making your hair look good at the beginning but then during the day it gets frizzy and untameable. I have curly hair too . Running my fingers through my curls makes them looser. If you have a blow dryer, blow dry your hair and then curl it, and comb the curls out.
