There are Regency books from several companies, new and used. As a Regency lover myself, I can tell you that these romances are still popular, although maybe not quite as much as in previous years. Still, new titles are constantly coming out.
You need to check Amazon from time to time, to see what’s available. My favorite all-time Regency author is Mary Balogh. You are probably familiar with her -- she’s been around for a while.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading her books, then I heartily recommend them to you. Her characters are, like the title of one of her novels, "simply unforgettable"! I find it very hard to leave one of her books halfway through; instead, I will keep turning the pages until I get to the very end.
Sometimes I can’t stand the suspense, and peek ahead, then go back and follow the story in sequence. Her "Simply" series presents the stories of teachers at a girls’ boarding school in early 19th-century England, and are a very enjoyable read. The titles are (not in order of publication): "Simply Unforgettable", "Simply Love", ’Simply Magic", and "Simply Perfect".
Each book deals with one teacher at the school, and how she finds the man of her dreams. Their plots are varied, poignant, and very interesting. She deals mostly with the emotions of her characters, though, so don’t expect very wild adventures. In fact, I would say that the characters’ emotions are the bulk of the plot, which suits me just fine!
"Simply Unforgettable" is the first in the series, and features one of the teachers, Frances Allard, who hides a shameful past, and Lucius Marshall, a member of the nobility. They meet entirely ’by accident’ -- in other words, through fate -- and spend a night together in a nearly deserted country inn, not far from the town of Bath, where she teaches music and French to aristocratic girls, as well as orphans. After this memorable encounter, they each try to forget the other, but that becomes totally impossible.........This beautiful story, highly reminiscent of Jane Austen’s work, will remain unforgettable in your mind, as well!
The mass-market paperback edition was published by Dell in July of 2006. There are many other excellent authors besides Balogh, however -- writers like Julia Quinn, Jo Beverley, Johanna Lindsey, Stephanie Laurens, and Madeline Hunter."A Secret Love", by Laurens, is part of her Cynster series, and deals with the love between Althea Morwellan and Gabriel Cynster. Althea has loved Gabriel since childhood, when they lived on neighboring estates.
They even played together. Later on, their relationship became strictly adversarial. Althea then decided to disguise herself as a mysterious, veiled countess, in order to entice him.
She was totally unprepared for the depth of his attraction to her! From this simple beginning, the plot unfurls in a dynamic, hard-to-resist fashion! Avon published the mass-market paperback in July of 2000.
Although new titles are coming out all the time, older books are still available on Amazon. Some might be out of print, but you can still get them from other sellers. You can find these in either hardcover or paperback formats, too.
Publishers still putting out Regencies include Dell, Avalon Books, Avon, Berkely Books, and Five Star Books. Here are some informative links, one of which is for Zebra books, where you can find Regencies you may have missed. The first link is an overview of the Regency novel, while the second will take you directly to the newest Regencies currently being sold by Amazon.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
