Pure vita is gluten free...but has meat...has many whole foods in it and is awesome but it makes them fat. Iams tan bag has hardly any protein, but whole foods...some gluten(barley)...this food is good, but I have to give tuna to my cats. They also make dog food.

A dog needs protein...

Thanks Shasha...Will check these out. My girl has no gallbladder and doesn't need high fat foods, so the Pure vita may not work for her. Thanks for taking the time to help me!

Without beef, chicken, turkey or lamb, for a raw diet, I am not sure what could be used as a protein source. Does it have to be raw? Finding holistic, grain-free dog food with alternative protein sources would be easier.

I do agree that your dog might not benefit from a high-fat diet. What other medical or health concerns compel you to want the exact combination of things you listed in your question? Kat .

I did a little research, and did find a well-regarded dog food with a primary protein source of fish. Would this work for your girl? Kat com/products/zeal.

Thanks Kat...I tried the zeal and she hates it. I'm not a fan of raw and would rather cook for her, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be providing the correct ratio of minerals/vitamins and fat. I bought Dr. Becker's new book, but she doesn't provide the correct ratio for novel proteins.

When Sophie was younger, we went on the elimination diet and she developed allergies to the proteins I mentioned earlier...then on (Not good ingredients...may be the reason her gallbladder had to be removed) Her skin is healed now and the foot licking has stopped.... and I'm really afraid to go back to any of those. I've been told I shouldn't feed her starches or grains. She is doing well now on Natural Balance Sweet Potatoes and Venison dry, and she hates the canned.

I've read that dry isn't the best choice for optimal health. Thanks for taking the time to help me! =) SophieBaiLei 9 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
