I am so sorry for your loss. You made me cry when I was reading. Listen you can fault everywhere on this poor accident, but your Boni is gone and no amount of blaming is going to bring him back.
I guess it was just his time to go. When God calls you home there is nothing that can save you. Dogs try so hard to give us lots of happy memories and love to sustain us through the time when they leave our world for a better one.
It doesn't work, but they try . Losing a dog that you have had for many years is just like losing your child because we love both unconditionally. It is heartbreaking.
The most important thing for you to remember is the good life you gave to him. Only one out of ten dogs find a home. 9.6 million dogs died in shelters last year.
They died alone with no home or love. Boni was very lucky indeed and I am sure he is looking down from heaven and is sad because his happy memories and love is not sustaining you through this hard time. I lost my dachshund on June 12th.
We had him for 12.5 years. He was a little dog and he is missed by my family. He lived a long and happy life.
He was at least 20 years old. He couldn't see, couldn't hear and his teeth were bad, but he was a wonderful dog. There is a web site that has lots of poems for pet loss.
My favorite is Rainbow Bridge. It is called the Dachshund Memorial Garden. You can enter Boni's life into the garden even if he is a golden retriever.
Some time not now, but when you feel up to it. I have 4 of my dachshunds in the garden and often go read the life I wrote about my loved ones. I have to enter my Weezer, but I am not up to it yet.
Once again I am so sorry for your loss of Boni. If you dream of him he is coming to you through the spirit world. Sorry.
Firstly I am so sorry for your loss. You can't blame yourself though, what's done is done, sometimes these things just happen and it can't be helped, however horrible they are. It's truly awful what happend to your dog, but at least it's not in pain anymore, drinking poison would probably have had some serious effects if your dog had pulled through...don't get a new dog, not until you have grieved and are ready.
My dog died two years ago and I never got over it, I know what you're going through. You'll feel empty, alone and horrible depressed, life won't be the same, and the pain won't go away, not for a long time especially to someone who really loved their dog. All you can do is remember the good times, I didn't believe it worked when people told me that, but it did...it just took two years to work completely.
When you can laugh through the tears at a happy memory, you're getting better. And remember, Boni wouldn't want you to be sad or beat yourself up over it, just trust he's in a better place now doing all the fun doggy things dogs do, that used to cheer me up :) you'll heal with time if not completely, I wish you the best of luck x.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
