I will be two weeks away from giving birth at Halloween, so probably eating as much chocolate as trick-or-treaters. I crave all things sweet these days. :) And Thanksgiving and Christmas will be spent caring for a newborn. No idea what my husband and I will do then.
Last year we spent Thanksgiving at his sergeant's house, but it's a little different since we have a kid this time.
I love Christmas so much that, in my mind, it's almost as if Halloween and Thanksgiving don't even exist as far as planning goes! I will probably begin putting my Christmas decorations up very soon. I love everything about Christmas - The beautiful lights, the smell of winter, the Christmas-scented candles, the smell of a real tree/wreath, baking cookies, driving around with family and friends to look at Christmas lights around town.
I love Christmas carols, candle-lighting services. I love the cold crisp air! I plan the month of November and December around all of these things. In my town, official Christmas-light-watching begins the day after Thanksgiving.
=) I'll begin shopping for Christmas presents, soon, as well! Although, with my grad school payments starting this month, I probably won't have much money for presents. My plan is to make cookies for non-family members this year. I also always buy a few boxes of candy canes and hand those out to people around Christmas season!
I have an abnormal obsession with Christmas and I am perfect aware of it and fine with it! =)).
You plans for the upcoming holidays are (without quotes):.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
