This is my personal opinion, but heart disease runs in my family too. To avoid a heart attack you should not smoke. Exercise is very important, cardio specifically.
I personally try to walk or jog 5 days a week. I just take a dog and make it more of a "fun" thing so I really do not even realize I am exercising. We have a treadmill in the basement which I use more often at winter time.To prevent a heart attack a healthy diet is very important.
I personally believe the vegetables and fruits are helpful and I drink plenty of water. What I have incorporated lately is "calmness" into my life. Avoiding stress is very important for preventing heart attacks and other diseases.
When I find myself getting stressed I will take slow deep breaths and I try to relax and calm myself. flickr.com/photos/solicitous86/2350290848.
If someone has a strong family history of heart disease, their chances are already doubled before you toss in the other risk factors. If you have this type of family history quit smoking, I know it’s easier said then done. If you cannot kick the habit make it less available, meaning only smoke outside.
If you purchase cigarettes, stop that and learn to roll them that will slow you down somewhat as it takes a bit to roll them there for it makes it a conscience decision. If you have a job that requires sitting around a lot, such as freelance writing get up hourly and walk. Also, at night get out and walk around the neighborhood, its great exercise, and fresh air.
Stop eating fried foods and reduce your weight. Keep blood pressure in check. Trust me you can be a ticking time bomb for a heart attack and not know it, as I learned first hand last year.
Lower your salt intake, to fewer than 2,000 mgs a day. In the burger below there is salt in the bun, the cheese, and meat. A slice of American cheese has 540 mgs of sodium in it so I imagine the salt in a typical burger is all the salt that is needed for a day.
It’s a sad thing but ketchup, mustard and mayo will all add to the salt of this.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
