What would a typical American family eat at Thanksgiving dinner and how similar is it to Christmas dinner?

A standard Thanksgiving dinner is turkey with stuffing, mashed potatos, cranberry sauce, rolls, squash, yams or other veggies, dessert is usually pecan pie, pumpkin pie.... maybe a few other pies or desserts. Christmas is also usually a turkey dinner, but lots of people will have ham or something else instead. Trifle is pretty much unknown here.

Both dinners are elaborate, but Thanksgiving is more so (as it's all we usually do on that day... eat and watch football) Also, we don't have Christmas crackers or wear paper hats at the dinner table : ) Actually my family does, but only because we have an English mother. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
