Your question remind me of a video interview on a dvd I have of Family Guy, Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (2005). The creator, Seth MacFarlane, actually admits that they try to do at least one clip of shocking or offensive material per show. I have to admit that there is some very offensive subject matter on there.
However, I am drawn to it. I am not so much offended about the government or politics of the show, but rather taking something that is sacred to one group and defacing it and the stereotypes. Of course like other shows, South Park, this is why people love them so much.My best friend’s nephew, 4 at the time, was in Wal-mart and said to a lady in line "Who's leg do I have to hump around here to get a How to Make a Mango Margarita|margarita".
Well, after that, no more Family Guy for him or talk about a How to Make a Blue Margarita|margarita, but I think this is defiantly an adults cartoons|cartoon and I would never let my son watch it. I pretty much agree with the guy in the video: Warning! Do not watch this video if you offend.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
