Will resetting my netgear router to factory default settings help my wireless pc connect to the net?

You have to connect via a wired Ethernet to configure the wifi again. Log into the router with default administrator, go to the wireless section, and re-configure the wireless settings (usually the SSID wireless name and WPA2 security/password).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
