Buyer wants refund on eBay.... My fault?

The person probably broke it and wants a refund pretending it was broken when it arrived. How often do you buy some device and not check it shortly upon arrival? I didn't realize there was a 45 day period.

What did you state in your auction about returns? When I sold any electronic items, I would specifically state they must be tested within one week of shipment. An request for a return after that was not honored.

If the buyer files a grievance, he/she might win. Was it a large amount of money? Try this to see who serious they are.

Ask them to send it back to you so that you can verify it doesn't work. If they are scamming, it is likely they won't bother.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
