If the Federal Government shuts down, how can anyone place total blame on Republicans?

Hard to say but probalby the Dems. They pretend that they are all for spending cuts (cuz they no from the polls that its wanted) but at the same time they are trying to protect their little political kingdoms that we all pay for, even if it means a gov shutdown. I am a Dem, look those grants and gifts from the Gov but realize that if cannot go on cuz it has helped to stifle business and we have to quit spending money we don't have.

I would say the Dems have been trying to look to the people on the dole that they are protecting them, so that they will continue to vote for them without thinking and will much easier except the brain dead political images. Like in Wisconsin and Ohio, you have to have a Republican in office from time to time to do the right thing cuz Dems never rise to the level of courage and ethics.

I blame them both for the reckless way they've been running things. The politicians will still get their paychecks whether the govt closes or not. At one time a bill floated around that stated if the govt shut down, the politicians would stop being paid.

That bill never passed the senate.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
