Will it be the fault of Democrats if the US Government shuts down?

The crazy thing about this is the total lack of compromise. The whole thing is set up as either raise taxes or we have to fire paramedics and fireman and so forth. The truth is that the sequester is only a drop in the bucket of a few percent.

If we all took the pain equally and were willing to have our pay reduced a bit everyone could still have a job and the disruption would be minimal. I agree with you that all this whining is silly and besides Obama signed this law so why flip flop? Not like it is his first flip flop though .

The sequester does not cut any spending. Thanks to "baseline budgeting" department budgets are programmed to increase automatically. All the sequester does is shave some off that increase.

So politicians call it "cuts" when actually all it is, is just a reduction in the rate of growth. The Republicans aren't going to shut anything down over that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
