What's the Over/Under on number of days the Government shuts down?

I think we have to see the outcome to really know the truth of the stand on both sides of the aisle. Are the Republicans simply posturing to give the public a sense that they are playing hardball? Are the Democrats not cooperating because they truly believe what the Republicans propose is bad for America? In the process, I am quite sure that both will distort the truth about the other in true Washington fashion and the last the thing the public will hear about is the facts.

The truth of the matter is that we are at this juncture because an inept president and an arrogant Congress failed to act last October and do their proper duty in creating and passing a budget. They have no one to blame for that except themselves as they held the majority vote on the Democratic side of the aisle with a Democrat sitting in the White House. To point fingers across the aisle at this point is totally hypocritical and troublesome.In the end, the Republicans are willing to risk a government shutdown to gain the cuts they are demanding in spending and bully for them for holding that ground.

It is time that someone did it. The Democrats on the other hand are willing to shut the government down and pray that America will blame it on the hard-nosed Republicans while they do not recognize that the Democrats long since failed to carry out their responsibility to the people last October.In the end the Democrats are praying that the public will lay the blame at the feet of the Republicans. If that happens, look for more of the same and Obama for a second term.

If it does not, there just might be hope for America to survive.WB.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
