1 Good morning. I know that this started as a new years thing, but halfway through the year I went on a medication that I only took twice and each time, like clockwork and in less than a week, gained ten pounds, for a total of 15 above where I'd like to be. I knew this might happen and lost some weight beforehand (5 lb).

I've been working to lose the weight lately (I'm in a contest with my dad, of all things), but I'd also like to chat it out here if I may? I started a little over two weeks ago getting really serious about losing weight at 156.5. Contest rules with my dad say that in six weeks I must follow this loss schedule or pay up (literally -- $10 per pound I fail to meet the goal by): 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1. I am currently at 150.5, putting me ahead, but not cocky.

The first round of stuff with my dad will hopefully get me to 146.5. Then he wants to do a round two, but I might only do half of it (I'm 5 ft, 6 in. , 141 is really just fine for me. 136 is what I weighed in high school.

)So... good morning! And I hope you don't mind a late joiner! .

3 EP! Glad to see you here! Yes, join us by all means!

Our goals are almost identical, although I started much higher than you. I am 5'6" and currently 141. I just opened a package of size 6 pants I ordered and they fit.My BMI and body fat % are both around 22 so I really have no big reason to lose more.

My "realistic" goal is 139, but I'm toying with going to 129 because that's what I was when I graduated from college, before babies. But be forewarned...two pounds a week is hard to do if you don't have much to lose.1-1/4 per week is closer to what I've been doing since I went below 150.So, the scale was up 1/2 lb today, not unexpected given what it did over the last week. I can live with that.

Interestingly, the size 6 jeans are a little snug in the hips but loose in the thighs. The khakis are just the opposite, but I didn't know they were going to have so much spandex in them. They are clingy in the thighs which I guess is the style (right, CK?

), but I'm not sure it's flattering for someone my age. I'm not sure they're going to get any looser even if I lose a few more pounds, because of the spandex. I guess if they don't get loose enough and I don't like them, I'll give them to one of my daughters.

I have to admit, though, they look pretty good with a jacket! I just need to be 15 years younger! Breakfast was oatmeal with cherries and almond milk.

I walked 1-1/2 miles, doing 3 running intervals. It's cold and windy out there! Lunch is going to be butternut squash and wild rice. Supper is going to be crusty tilapia (baked with panko crumbs, among other things), garlic mashed potatoes, and a veggie..

4 1/2 pound up isn't bad at all, you still have lost a lot lately! I'm glad your pants fit, that's great! Isn't it a wonderful feeling?!

Yeah, I guess tight pants are definatly the style. Most of my pants fit well, they aren't skin tight but there isn't a lot of extra fabric either. It's cold and really windy here too! We have a freeze warning for tonight.

Your dinner sounds delicious! I take it mamasue still can't sign in? For lunch I had a ww EM with 2 tsp low fat cream cheese, an apple, 1/2 cup yogurt.

Dinner was chicken and dumplings my mom made but they weren't too bad, they were made with chicken stick and chicken breasts and it was a splurge, but it was delicious.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
