2 Morning all. I'm doing the same CK just in opposite order. Back to work and then class this evening.
I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and had oatmeal with golden raisins and a few pecans. Packing lunch so I know it will be curried split pea soup and a corn muffin. See you all later.

3 I had my usual breakfast of yogurt, blueberries and an EM. The scale was the same, so that's good, especially after a weekend. I find the weekends are a little harder to keep in check because of all the different variables that come into play.
Routines change on weekends. There are more opportunities to interact with others such as eating, shopping, visiting, anything really. You have choices pertaining to whether you wish to sit on the couch and watch a movie, garden, shovel snow, workout, cook, nap, etc.I think it's great when we remember to be accountable on the weekends because to me, that's where past habits can attempt to creep back in.
I find it much easier during the week to stay on task. You know I had a flashback yesterday when I was trying to do my Pilates and I had to work so hard to get the DVD set up and I had to clear out the room for only 20 minutes for the Pilates. Remember, I could have done the Pilates while my husband was playing tennis but my son used the good DVD and he was sleeping so I couldn't do it at that time.
It caused such an upheaval that is brought back a flashback. The flashback is one that I sort of remember when I was much younger. There were times when I WOULD have liked to have worked out.
I stayed fit for years up until my mid 30's and with three children and the pregnancies. I remember not being able to maintain my exercise routines due to my responsibilities as a mother, etc. This makes me realize that even today, to some degree we all have to stop and say, "Forget it, this little time is my time and I want it and need it both mentally and physically for me. "My family is now very understanding but as I think back, I think we, as women tend to put ourselves on the back burner very easily in life.

4 Happy back to school and work days, everyone! I sympathize. Mamasue, your experience is why it's important to have more than one way to exercise. It's only been in the last month or so that I finally decided I'd do DVDs because even though at the moment I don't have any big demands on my time from job or kids, I just didn't FEEL like getting down on the floor and doing a routine for 20-40 solid minutes.
That's why I started with a page of stand-up exercises on my fridge that I did a few of pretty much any time I was in the kitchen. I would think even people with jobs and kids could fit in a few squats and counter push-ups now and then! I think it was going to the gym with Julie and seeing the results that even my "quickies" had had that motivated me to say " I want more of that!
" and to actually get some DVDs. Point is, I believe even busy people can fit in exercises. But you're right -- the key is first you have to make it a priority.
(Not that I ever took my own advice when I was a full time working mom....)This morning in my pre-coffee fog I made my breakfast using the 1/3 cup measure instead of the quarter cup. Ooops. I thought that bowl of oatmeal looked kind of huge!
So my breakfast was 400 instead of 300 calories. I'm sure I'll be able to work around that. Today is a strength/toning day and I think I'm going to do the Pilates Sculpt DVD from the library.

5 Good Morning all - I'm going to go get some breakfast now. I need a second cup of coffee this morning - feeling still tired. I had no change from Saturday but that's OK.
I had a huge breakfast yesterday at church and then I skipped lunch. I felt fine for that, but the breakfast contained lots of stuff I don't want to eat (but did) half a biscuit and gravy, 1/4 Belgian waffle with strawberries, a bit of scrambled egg and then a couple pieces of bacon and a couple sausages. It was sure good and stuck with me for the whole day, but NOT good choices I know.
So today I'll be back at healthier eating and wiser choices. Back later.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
